At Underdog Crew Studios, we believe creativity is a powerful tool for healing. Many of the young people we work with face challenges that impact their mental health — from social pressures to life instability.
Our studio offers more than just a space to create; it’s a safe, supportive environment where young voices are heard, confidence is built, and expression is encouraged. Through workshops, storytelling, and community, we help young people process emotions, build resilience, and find purpose.
Film and mental health go hand in hand because film gives young people the power to tell their story — on their terms. Whether they’re behind the camera, writing scripts, or performing on screen, film allows them to explore identity, confront emotions, and build empathy through shared experiences. It turns vulnerability into strength, pain into purpose, and isolation into connection. Through the lens of filmmaking, we create not just art — but healing, belonging, and hope.

At Underdog Crew Studios, we champion youth because they are the heartbeat of our future. Many young people face barriers that limit their opportunities, confidence, and sense of belonging. We focus on youth to break those barriers — providing creative programmes, mentorship, and real-world experiences that help them discover their potential.
Our studio is a space where young people can express themselves freely, develop new skills, and build community. By nurturing talent, encouraging collaboration, and celebrating individuality, we create pathways for young people to thrive personally, creatively, and professionally. Empowering youth isn’t just part of what we do — it’s the reason we exist.
Film and mental health go hand in hand because storytelling gives young people the tools to reflect, release, and rebuild. Through film, they can explore personal struggles, share their truth, and feel heard without judgment. It's a powerful outlet for processing emotions, building empathy, and connecting with others — turning creativity into a form of healing.

At Underdog Crew Studios, we believe education should be inspiring, inclusive, and rooted in real-life experiences. We focus on creative education because many young people disengage from traditional learning, feeling unseen or unsupported in the classroom.
Through hands-on workshops, film production, and storytelling, we offer alternative routes to learning that build confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills. By combining creativity with education, we ignite curiosity, unlock potential, and show young people that their voice matters.
We place mental health at the core of our educational approach because learning and wellbeing are deeply connected. Film and mental health go hand in hand — storytelling gives young people a powerful outlet to explore their thoughts, process emotions, and make sense of their world. Whether they’re writing scripts, directing scenes, or sharing their experiences on camera, they are actively building resilience and emotional intelligence.

At Underdog Crew Studios, equality, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I) are not just values — they’re the foundation of everything we do. We believe every young person, regardless of their background, identity, or life experience, deserves access to creative opportunities and a space where they feel seen, heard, and celebrated. Too often, underrepresented voices are left out of the conversation — we’re here to change that.
Our studio is a safe, inclusive space that champions difference and actively works to break down systemic barriers. Through our programmes, we uplift voices from all communities, challenge stereotypes, and empower young people to tell their own stories through film, media, and creative expression.
We focus on ED&I because representation matters — not just on screen, but behind the camera, in leadership, and in every part of the creative process. By building a diverse, inclusive environment, we don’t just foster belonging — we fuel innovation, connection, and change.
